Pilot MGMT founder Garen Scribner is a Los Angeles-based producer, manager, and arts leader dedicated to producing world-class, artist-driven work across film, television, and the performing arts. His standout producing credits include the feature documentary Tiler Peck: Suspending Time (PBS), which won the 2026 Emmy Award for Outstanding Arts and Culture Documentary, and the feature film Waiting Places, directed and choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber (ALL ARTS). For television, Garen produces and hosts the six-time Emmy-nominated series Broadway Sandwich as well as And the Tony Nominees Are (both for ALL ARTS). His producing work is anchored by a 17-year performance career that culminated in starring on Broadway as Jerry Mulligan in Christopher Wheeldon’s An American in Paris, after a decade as a soloist with the San Francisco Ballet and an artist of Nederlands Dans Theater 1. In addition to his work at Pilot, Garen is also the Artistic Director of Dance Film SF and its marquee program, the San Francisco Dance Film Festival. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and lives in Santa Monica, CA with his husband Geoff, and their dog Maya.
Pilot MGMT Manager Sarah Roberts is a Los Angeles based producer and manager with a dynamic background in dance, fashion, and entertainment. A Chicago native, Sarah graduated from The Juilliard School before going on to perform professionally with Luna Negra Dance Theatre in Chicago and BODYTRAFFIC in Los Angeles. Throughout her performing career, Sarah danced works by acclaimed choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Jose Limon, Doug Varone, Robert Battle, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Antony Tudor. Following her time on stage, Sarah transitioned into the worlds of entertainment and fashion, first in casting at Warner Bros, and then in sales and brand development for renowned fashion designer Juan Carlos Obando. Today, in addition to her work at Pilot MGMT, Sarah co-founded TenFold Productions, where she develops narrative and documentary features. With a keen eye for talent and storytelling, Sarah brings a unique blend of strategic business acumen and creative vision to every project she takes on.
Pilot MGMT coordinator Hayden Rivas is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California with a BFA in Dance from the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and a Master of Studies in Law with an Entertainment and Media Law certificate from the Gould School of Law. He has been seen on film and television in Apple TV’s “The Morning Show,” Disney’s Descendants 3, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” He has also performed on stage in Here Lies Love at Center Theatre Group, South Pacific at The Muny, and with companies such as A.I.M by Kyle Abraham at the Joyce Theatre in New York City.
Pilot MGMT Consultant Sarah Lakey, based in Seattle, is the Company Manager at Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB). Outside of her work at PNB, she supports the development of new dance productions, serving as a project manager or consultant on various creative initiatives, including Dani Rowe’s critically-acclaimed full-length ballet Marilyn, a co-production between Oregon Ballet Theatre, Tulsa Ballet, and Ballet Met in collaboration with the Marilyn Monroe Estate. Sarah trained at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts with a concentration in ballet and earned her BFA in Ballet Performance from the University of Utah, where she studied on a full scholarship. Sarah’s professional performing career includes engagements with City Ballet of San Diego, The Stephen Brown Dance Company, and Polaris Dance Theatre. After retiring from the stage, she transitioned into arts administration, first as Company Manager for L.A. Dance Project and later as a Project Manager at The Colburn School. Her work reflects a commitment to supporting artists and advancing complex creative projects within leading dance organizations.
Pilot MGMT intern Quincy Wilson is a current senior at the University of Southern California pursuing a BFA in Dance from the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance as well as a Master of Studies in Law at the Gould School of Law with certificates in Business Law and Entertainment and Media Law. Drawing from a background in classical, contemporary, modern, and improvisational techniques, Quincy’s passion for embodied practice has led her to train at renowned intensive programs, including The School at Jacobs Pillow, BalletX, Alonzo King LINES, Hubbard Street, and A.I.M by Kyle Abraham. Beyond the studio, Quincy is the founder of Variation En Hue®, a service organization dedicated to promoting diversity in dance through the collection and donation of flesh-toned tights, ballet shoes, and costumes for predominantly Black dance studios all around the world.
